Relay protection and automation cabinets for stations and substations

RZA series relay protection and automation devices used for 0.4-220 kV electric grids.

The hardware part of the RZA series relay protection and automation devices for 110-220 kV electric grids represents chiefly an aggregate of cabinets, protection terminals (terminals BMRZ, Temp, Sirius, etc.), connections, and circuits. The number of the options of cabinet designs for different types of substations’ primary circuits of taking into account the variance of the equipment used when designing is large enough.

Relay protection and automation cabinets for substations and electric grids with a voltage of 0.4-220 kV are made by using microprocessor-based protection relays “BMRZ” made by the “Mekhanotronika” Scientific and Technical Center (Russia) and other manufacturers (on customer’s request).

Overall dimensions:

  1. width: 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1600 mm; 
  2. height: 2200 mm; 
  3. depth: 600, 800, 1000 mm.

Single and double-door floor-standing cabinets with glassed inspection openings, of unilateral and bilateral maintenance, having a number of technical advantages as follows:

  1. temperature operating range with conserved all reported parameters: from - 40° С to + 55° С; 
  2. relative basic error of current measurement: ±2.5 % throughout the dynamic range; 
  3. permissible pulsations of the operating current: from +80 to - 100%; 
  4. permissible interruption of operating current: no longer than 0.5 sec;  
  5. climatic category: UKhL (temperate and cold weather) according to GOST 15150 (NF according to IEC). Placement category: 4 according to GOST 15150.
  6. altitude above sea level: up to 2000 m.
  7. humidity: no more than 80% at t = 20° С.
